BRIGADIER GENERAL DENNIS D. KRSNAK

Retired effective Mar 31, 1999

Brigadier General Dennis D. Krsnak assumed the duties of the Assistant Adjutant General for the South Dakota Army National Guard on April 1, 1998. As the assistant adjutant general, Krsnak is responsible for the Army Guard's troop readiness, including training and mobilization exercises.

Brigadier General Krsnak began his military career by enlisting in the South Dakota National Guard in September of 1964. He attended the South Dakota Military Academy’s Officer Candidate School and was commissioned as an combat engineer officer. He served for years as the Director of Plans, Operations, Training and Support and was the chief of staff for the South Dakota Army National Guard at the time of his promotion.
